The 4th Annual HORTON'S CONTINENTAL HAYRIDE
October 22nd - October 27th
The undisputed Godfather of Psychobilly, The Reverend Horton Heat, invites its congregation to join them this October in Austin, TX for another six white-hot nights as the legendary Continental Club is once again transformed to the Horton’s Continental Hayride.
For the fourth time in its historic 50 years plus existence a band will be selling out 6 consecutive nights of shows, guaranteeing this event’s rightful place in Austin’s music and folklore history. “I’m extremely excited for the upcoming fourth annual Horton’s Hayride at the Continental Club in Austin Texas. They call it a ‘residency,’ I call it a ‘Revidency,'” proclaims Jim ‘Reverend’ Heath.
“We play six nights in a row and it’s really fun for us to get to hang out in central Austin for that many days. We’re going to have various special guests join us during our set – we will stop for a moment and out comes the artist of the night who we then become the backing band for. In the past we’ve backed El Vez, Jello Biafra, Big Sandy, Robert Gordon, Unknown Hinson, Deke Dickerson and many others. This year our guests will include Alejandro Escovedo and James Intveld. The opening acts are a lot of musicians who’ve been inspirational for me personally. It’s really great to get to connect with Austin through this. Y’all come out and hang with us!” Be sure to come by for one of these six undoubtedly memorable performances.
Get ready… as hot rods, lowriders and choppers descend on South Congress to the Horton’s Continental Hayride.
